Balancing a full-time job with PSC exam preparation is challenging but not impossible. Here's how I managed both and achieved success.
My Strategy
- Utilize early morning hours for focused study
- Make use of commute time for revision
- Weekend intensive study sessions
- Efficient time management during work hours
- Stay disciplined and consistent
I started waking up at 4 AM to get 3-4 hours of uninterrupted study time before work. This was my most productive study time as my mind was fresh and there were no distractions.
During my commute to and from work, I listened to audio lectures and revised notes. I also used mobile apps to practice current affairs quizzes during breaks.
Weekends were dedicated to intensive study sessions. I would study for 8-10 hours on weekends, focusing on difficult topics and taking mock tests.
I learned to say no to unnecessary social commitments and focused on my goal. It required sacrifice, but the result was worth it. After 18 months of this routine, I cleared the exam.
