Success in PSC exams often comes after facing failures. This is the story of how I transformed my failures into stepping stones and finally achieved my goal.
My Journey
My first two attempts at the Kerala PSC exam ended in disappointment. I scored below the cutoff in both attempts. Instead of giving up, I analyzed my mistakes and developed a new strategy.
Key Lessons Learned
- Failure is a learning opportunity
- Consistent effort beats sporadic studying
- Time management is crucial
- Mock tests are essential for preparation
- Stay positive and motivated
After my second failure, I took a break to analyze what went wrong. I realized I was studying without a proper plan and wasn't giving enough time to revision. I also discovered that I was weak in current affairs.
I restructured my entire preparation strategy. I created a detailed study schedule, allocated specific time for each subject, and made revision a daily habit. I also started reading newspapers regularly and making notes of important current affairs.
Mock tests became a regular part of my routine. I took at least one mock test every week and analyzed my performance thoroughly. This helped me identify weak areas and work on them.
In my third attempt, I cleared the preliminary exam and went on to clear the mains and interview. The key was not giving up and learning from my mistakes.
